We were recommended Waldoboro Chimney Services upon moving recently to the area, and could not be more pleased with their service. Bruce was very involved throughout the process of getting our old center cape style chimney back up and running, involving everything from lining, to brick repair, as well as installing a new wood insert to efficiently heat our home. The Father & Son (Brian, also awesome) team are very punctual, with obvious years of experience shared between them both. Their workflow was smooth, they arrived on time, and the end results were fantastic. While Bruce may not be the biggest social butterfly, he puts his complete attention and effort in providing you with the best service you could ask for. We called November 10. 2025, they called back the same day. We wanted advice and possibly install the chimney. He said he would stop by and evaluate. We haven't heard a word, I texted him the next day as we hadn't heard anything, he still hasn't even read it. Poor communication.
Bruce and his son, Brian, are hard working and reliable. I have hired them for years to clean our chimney and to install a new wood stove at our rental house. They are punctual and thorough and I trust their work.
We recently had a fireplace insert and stainless steel liner delivered to and installed in our cabin on a lake island by Waldoboro Chimney Service. The owner Bruce and his son did not shy away from this challenge which involved bringing their boat to our lake, placing the insert on our float, towing the float over to the island, and then, carrying the insert up to and into our cabin. They had to go back to shore several times for additional supplies. In addition, we had our fieldstone chimney sealed to protect the mortar. Delivering the fireplace insert was a huge undertaking and both men were pleasant and hardworking throughout the job. They patiently answered questions. They cleaned up the cabin in a reasonable way and removed their equipment and empty boxes from the island. We are slowly beginning to use our fireplace insert and thus far, we are happy with the product as well as the installation.
The most unprofessional service I’ve ever encountered. If you don’t take his high estimate be ready for an attitude. Drove off as I was still trying to speak with him. Call your local stove shop as they’ll steer you away from Bruce (his reputation is known) and towards a professional. Thats been my experience…
