  Joe the owner came up to our out-of-the-way mountain house, no extra mileage fee. Cleaned and inspected our stove and pipes. Highly recommend.

  My mistake by not reading the reviews ahead of time. Hired to do an inspection and cleaning, they inspected and said it was unsafe to use, so no cleaning. Left a minimal note about the problem with a promise to follow up with full issue via email. No email and no return calls. So they did half of contracted work but of course kept all the money.

  I would not recommend using this company. I was first attracted to them based on the ease of scheduling a service online. I booked easily online (paid $500) to have two chimneys swept and inspected. The owner spent less than 45 minutes at my home, told me both chimneys were inoperable, and recommended a complete replacement of both. I’m not entirely sure why they were swept (if they were even swept), if they are inoperable. I was promised a follow up bid for the work and heard absolutely nothing. I honestly feel completely duped. This company lacks integrity, in my experience with them.

  Called Ark Valley and they were very responsive and set up an appointment promptly. I needed to have the chimney swept and a repair to my crown and rain covers for the flues. He put down a ground cloth and swept the chimney. He also provided me with an estimate for the repairs but said he would check prices and provide a written estimate within the next day. My wife got home later that day. She was shocked at the soot all over our furniture and carpet. She spent a couple of hours vacuuming the furniture, pillows and carpet. We learned from neighbors that their chimney sweep puts up a plastic sheet to seal off the hearth from the rest of the room. Second, I did not receive a quote for the needed repairs. So I called Ark Valley four times over two weeks. They did not return my phone calls. To say the least, we were not pleased with the service we received from Ark Valley.

  I had a great experience with Ark Valley Chimney Sweeps. Joe and his team are very knowledgeable and professional. They kept us informed of their timeline and helped us understand the steps we need to take to make our old stove safe. I look forward to working with Ark Valley Chimney Sweeps in the future!
