  From the first inspection with Andy to the repairs and touch-ups by Tony and his crew, the entire experience with United Chimney exceeded expectations. Everyone was very polite and well mannered. Communication was clear and we always knew when and what was next. They touched up our fireplace, swept the chimney and redid a broken seal all within two days. Any work they did inside our home was well contained and they cleaned up every speck of dust. Tony also keeps a close eye on everything as well. Really happy with the work and I recommend United Chimney for anything chimney related

  With the recent storm, our chimney had a major leak including some water that was getting into the walls. Tony and team scheduled us in immediately for the next day, came and identified the problems, gave me a clear breakdown of how much each thing would cost, and took care of everything by the day after that. No nonsense. No upselling. Super efficient and clear communication. I've worked with a good number of contractors and this was one of my best experiences so far.

  While the company’s name only mentions services related to “chimney”, they also offer dryer vent cleaning services. I called United Chimney Services because my vent had somehow separated from my dryer and lint began to fly about my laundry room. Andy came out and spent two hours cleaning out my vent duct, not only extracting all the lint by hand but also by brushing the duct walls clean. Previous companies that came out to clean the duct merely pulled out by hand, leaving the walls covered by lint. Andy did a very thorough, excellent job. He’s professional, knowledgeable, and very nice. He told me that a lint-packed dryer vent is one of the most frequent reasons for home fires, so it’s really important to ensure it’s cleaned at least every year, even more frequently if you dry lots of loads. I’ll be using United Chimney Services in the years to come.

  I recently bought a home with a 99 year old chimney. I originally had an inspection by a “chimney sweep” who told me things would be fine after some minor repair work he did. A couple months later my roofer and structural engineer noticed some “issues” with the chimney. I was referred to Tony from United Chimney by a structural contractor. Ultimately, my chimney was in bad shape. The mortar was totally degraded and there was never a flue liner installed. Tony was very thorough and transparent when giving me options. I climbed a ladder and he took me through every detail. After seeing the problems, the decision was easy, we opted to remove the entire chimney: stack and breast down to the footer. Tony and his crew did a masterful job. They sheared the chimney to protect the interior trim and mantle. The remaining brickwork was repointed, reinforced with steel mesh and parged. I have a two year old child and safety is my primary concern. Tony’s work put me at great peace of mind. My general contractor was also impressed with the quality of work. These guys are a multi-generational family of masons. Tony is a craftsman from another earlier era. No B.S. and a straight shooter. He over delivered and exceeded my expectations. The work was done immediately and did not interfere with my other projects. He was respectful of my neighbors and cleaned up well. I would not hesitate to entrust United Chimney to other masonry projects in the future.
