The whole team at Twin Cities Fireplace was amazing from start to finish. They made multiple home visits, reviewed options and explained everything. They had to tear out an entire brick wall and insert and do a full replacement. The craftsman who rebuilt our new fireplace with the stone we chose was so kind and worked his butt off to finish our project on time and it is stunning. We couldn’t be happier that we went with TC fireplace after getting quotes and speaking to multiple companies.
Working with Twin city fireplace was a great experience. Mike was excellent in explaining the different fireplaces they handle and pros and cons of each. The installers, Ron and Caleb, were very professional and well versed with the fireplace they were installing. They explained things clearly and very patient with question that were asked and took the time to protect the floor. I enjoyed interacting with them, nice sense of humor. I would love to have them be the maintenance crew that services the fireplace.
It was such a pleasure to work with everyone at Twin City Fireplace in Woodbury. We updated our entire fireplace, switching from wood burning to gas, from brick to stone, and also installed a reclaimed wood mantle. Mike helped us pick a proper unit for our space, and organized and scheduled the project seamlessly from start to finish. Derek and Andy removed our old fireplace unit, installed our Mendota and the wood mantle with the utmost professionalism, and were polite, conscientious and pleasant to have in our home. The masons, Jesse and Jake, did an outstanding job on the stonework. It really is a work of art and I appreciate their attention to detail and effort to achieve the look I wanted while also protecting the mantle. We strongly recommend Twin City Fireplace in Woodbury, for any fireplace project.
Long story short, they provide poor services and are just a cash grab company that struggles to provide you with your requested services. Whether I liked it or not, there was only one company that was approved to service my fire place (Montigo brand). I ran into an issue at the beginning of the winter that my fire place wasn't working (pilot light wouldn't stay ignited). When initially booking with these folks they gave me a $320 cost and a 6 week out scheduling window. Upon conversations with the scheduling individual, I specifically indicated that it is a pilot light issue and I probably need a new thermocouple / pilot light assembly. Knowing the issue at hand, I requested to be proactive and have the material on hand so when the service was performed, it was going to be a complete service with a pilot light assembly replacement. They stated nothing but agreement and confirmed that the fire place will be operational after their service. Upon arrival of their service technician, he indicated he didn't have the parts to perform the service. He tried some things and got it operational to day of, stated that I need a new pilot light assembly and his fix isn't permanent. Nothing I didn't know from the beginning. Upon his departure, an as expected, it stopped working again the following day. From discussions with the service technician, he stated that the part is anywhere from 1-2 weeks, and I shouldn't be charged a return service charge for the work. He then departed. Following that, another individual who is neither the above scheduler nor the technician reached out a few days later and stated that I would have to pay for the pilot light assembly (makes sense - $160) and a $260 return service charge, and concluded that it's another 4 weeks out, not aligning with either the first conversation nor the second conversation. So I'm now left without a functioning fire place for the entirety of the winter season, an original bill for $320, another bill for another $420. All I've gotten out of it so far is a fireplace that was vacuumed and repainted, which I could do myself and a $10 home depot run.
Twin City Fireplace of Woodbury is the best! I should have written a review long before now, but can no longer procrastinate as this is the second winter I have spent my evenings in front of the fireplace thoroughly enjoying it's ambience and heat. We have received so many compliments on the looks (there was no fireplace before and this blends in perfectly). The team is welcoming as soon as you enter the store. They are extremely knowledgeable and can handle everything from design, installation, cabinetry, tile/stone work and maintenance (yearly cleaning). Extremely reliable, informative and professional. My husband and I highly recommend!
