EDITED 11/18/25: Updating review since Mad Hatter ended up honoring the 4th appointment and our cap was installed. Original Review: I paid for a chimney repair and cap installation. The repair was completed, but the cap was never installed. They missed 3 scheduled appointments for the cap install and so the work was never finished.
The technician really put his mind behind his work. The work was excellently done and he even collected the nearby debris not caused by his work when he cleaned up. It was a hot day, but it was done ahead of time and done right. Would highly recommend this company for chimney-related works.
My neighbor recommended this company when I needed help right away with chimney repair after having my roof replaced. Jay responded right away and was able to take a look at what was needed and get me on the schedule. Great communication and updates via text. The quality of work was excellent -- cracks and loosened mortar was all repaired and grimey brickwork cleaned. When I needed follow up for the flashing work, Jay made sure to come out and be careful there was no leaking. Impressed by the responsiveness to requests and to his commitment to do quality work. Just had the chimney sweeped / cleaned - required wood stove to be moved - thankful for the great work done! Feel ready for the fall and winter!
Whenever we had a fire in our fireplace we'd get smoke in the house, so we figured it probably needed sweeping. Jay came out yesterday, and after inspecting it, said that the soot buildup wasn't actually that bad and he'd feel bad charging us for it. Instead he recommended a smoke guard, which I'll try out. I really appreciated Jay's friendly manner and integrity in not upcharging us for services that wouldn't solve the problem, thanks Jay!
