After considering and researching a possible DIY chimney cap installation, I decided that it might be a job best left to a professional due to the oddities of my particular chimney and the potential for unnecessary expense if I figured things incorrectly in any way. After reading nothing but very positive reviews about First Choice Chimney Services, I called them and left a message outlining my needs. I quickly received a text outlining the cost (very reasonable and very similar to my original DIY project plans), the materials supplied, the lifetime warranty, the procedure, and a possible date and time. I agreed, they reported on time, inspected the chimney, answered all my questions, and installed two caps over two openings (cheaper than one large cap over the entire chimney). It was quick (less then a hour), easy, painless, and I am very, very pleased. They've earned my highest praise and recommendation!
Just had my first inspection and clean done for our wood stove. Every step of the process was explained to me in detail and with honesty. This is our first home so I’m still learning how to maintain these things and as I asked questions he was able to answer them by looking at our units for us. Great service and works with integrity! I was quoted $300 for the service, but when it came time to pay, the total suddenly became $530, and then my card was charged $581 afterward. The constant price changes with no clear explanation are extremely disappointing and feel very misleading. Communication and transparency should be basic standards, especially when it comes to billing. Because of this experience, I won’t be calling them again or recommending them to anyone.
We moved into our house last year and just got around to having the chimney inspected and cleaned. The inspectors that came to the house were very professional. They said the chimney did not need to be cleaned because the last owners did not really use it. We had them add some chimney caps to protect from the weather. We will be using this company again in the future.
Called them on Thursday morning to get an estimate for a chimney liner. They came that afternoon and installed the liner. Excellent work very clean. Price was excellent and the service was above my expectations.
