What a great company! I found them online after dealing with persistent soot issues from my high-efficiency boiler, which vents into a 9x13 masonry chimney flue. Even after the boiler company completed their yearly service, the boiler was caked with soot — and so was my house. It was everywhere. After living here for 10 years, I finally decided to call a chimney company, and Safeside’s excellent reviews caught my eye. They truly went above and beyond. From Sergio’s team, who came on Friday to clean and explain exactly why I was having soot issues five years into my new boiler, to Peter and his team, who installed the new 316L stainless steel liner system today, I felt completely taken care of from start to finish. They showed up when they said they would. The price was the price. They explained everything in detail and performed the job exactly as they laid it out. They were professional, courteous, answered my 10,001 questions, and did it all with a smile. Thank you to the entire team at Safeside Chimney — I hope you all have a very Merry holiday season! Looking forward to working with you again in the future. Michelle
We had Safeside repoint and rebuild the top of both our chimneys. The crew was friendly, informative, and diligent. Our house was built in 1968 and has 2 chimneys which takes care of our 3 fireplaces and the furnace. The top several layers of bricks was falling apart on both chimneys and the mortar was loose and crumbling. The crew spent an entire week working. They were here promptly every morning and worked most days til 5. Cleaning up everyday and leaving the worksite safe. I would recommend them if you need any work done.
We are very happy with our experience with Safeside Chimney. We 1st met with Sergio, who was very friendly, thorough & professional in doing an assessment. His explanation was complete & easy to understand. We decided to have Safeside do the work. The team of workers were prompt, friendly & efficient. They completed the work on time, were neat & cleaned the area up before leaving. We highly recommend them for chimney work.
This will be the most transparent review you will ever read. I reached out to Safeside on 10.24.25 to schedule a date for a quote for a full tear down and rebuild. The lady on the phone stated it was late in the year and it probably won't get started until spring of 2026. I told her I understood and that it was expected because four other companies told me the same thing. Difference is at the time I was making those calls other companies wouldn't even come out, return my phone calls or even work with me. With in that week they came out and did the inspection and they agreed it needed a full rebuild and two new flues ran for my wood stove and boiler. I received a quote of $21,475 within 15 minutes, which was expected as well because of quotes I did receive in the previous years. I was ready to get my chimney done. Sergio, the guy who came out to give me the quote stated he was concerned about the flashing on the roof. Reason being, I have an aluminum roof, that has a Lifetime warranty on it. I told him I would call the roofers to have them do the flashing as I didn't want there to be any concern if down the road I had a roofing issue and the roofing company to void my warranty because another company touched it. After a few days, I received a call from Sergio and he stated that Safeside could start the chimney the following Wednesday, I agreed to it, he drove out to me to pick up the down payment. Extremely happy that they were able to come out and get it done that late in the year was truly great. Left me with no concerns about the condition of my chimney with winter coming. That Tuesday they actually showed up and started working on it. Christian, the bricklayer, was in charge of organizing and rebuilding the chimney. Him and I talked every day, he communicated and explained everything to me. He had to completely change the layout to bring the chimney up to code. After tear down, he expressed concern about the condition of the fire box (cannot be seen until tear down was complete). He showed me exactly what was wrong and explained what was needed including the extra cost to do it. I explained to him he was already in there and I just wanted it done right; at this point the extra cost didn't bother me one bit. He shook my hand said no problem and went to work. The tear down and rebuild took 8 working days to complete. Delays happened due to weather these guys were out there with snow coming down. At the end Christian walked me around explained everything and even when the town inspector showed up he showed us the photos he took. I got a thumbs up from the inspector. Thrilled at this point, looking at the beautiful craftsmanship and new design, I was completely happy with their work. The team cleaned up all the debris and they were gone. The following week the roofers came out and did the flashing. Unfortunately I received an email from the roofers after they completed the job, and they expressed that my roof had damage from the demo of the chimney. They sent over a quote for replacement including photos of the damaged roof. I was slightly worried and immediately forwarded the email to Safeside. WITH IN TWO DAYS I received and email back from Safeside, apologizing and saying, they will be covering the cost of the damaged roof. They asked if I wanted the check sent to me or if I wanted them to send a check to the roofers. I asked them to send me the check. Without hesitation they sent me the check. The total cost for my chimney rebuild, two double lined flues, and the smoke chamber repair was $24,275. I am sure some people would read this and think "safeside messed the roof up". The reality is, people are people, things happen, things get damaged with doing such big jobs, it should be expected. The fact they stand by their guarantee, they didn't fight with me and truly made me feel like I was in charge and I was a part of the project means more than I think they (Safeside) will ever know. Their entire team is personable and because of all of this, I WILL BE A LIFETIME CUSTOMER.
Used Safeside to have a chimney liner installed. The company was great and easy to deal with. The work done appears to be quality and price was fair. I would use them again and recommend them for chimney needs.
