  Douglas and his team did an outstanding job sweeping and servicing two fireplaces in our historic Arlington home, and they also installed a new liner for our furnace. I can’t recommend them enough. The quality of their chimney work was excellent and the price was very fair. Since we hadn’t moved in yet, Douglas sent us regular photo updates to show the progress and explained each part of the chimney cleaning process, including what steps were next and how long everything would take. When a neighbor filed a complaint (which had nothing to do with the crew), Douglas reassured us that all the proper permits and insurance were handled. He checked into the complaint, got everything ready for the inspection, and we passed with no problems. It seems the neighbor files complaints often, so we were grateful for all the help. The team was very careful to protect our floors and keep the whole house clean during the chimney sweep. Everyone worked well together, and even our main contractor was so impressed that he asked for Douglas’s contact info for future projects.   We had a new fireplace installed and chose a local chimney sweep company in Arlington to handle everything for us. The entire process, from choosing our fireplace to the installation, was easy and the price was better than we expected. Douglas and his team did an excellent job with the installation. They made sure the placement of the fireplace was just right, exactly how we wanted it. The crew was very professional and took care to clean up thoroughly afterwards, even though our house was still under construction. Douglas ran the flue through the roof perfectly, and the shingles were put back so well that even with heavy rains, we haven't had any leaks.   We recently had a new gas furnace put in and were advised to have our chimney checked because the previous furnace might not have been installed correctly. We first had another company come out for a chimney inspection, and they recommended some repairs, including installing a new liner, fixing the crown masonry, and adding a chimney cap. Wanting to make sure we got the best service and price, we reached out to a few more places for estimates, and this company was one of them. Douglas reviewed the inspection report from the other company and also came out to do his own thorough chimney inspection. His estimate was actually less than the first company’s, and we felt we were getting more value for our money. The other company wanted to use a sealant on the crown and charge extra for it, but Douglas explained that properly repairing the masonry at the crown could help the chimney last another hundred years, just like it already has. We chose to move forward with Douglas and his team. He was able to fit us into their schedule quickly for both the inspection and the repairs. The office staff was very friendly and made scheduling easy. Douglas and his assistant arrived right on time and completed all the chimney work in just one day. Douglas even showed us photos from the top of the chimney so we could see the quality of the repairs. Now we feel confident and safe using our heat, knowing the chimney is in great shape. The whole process was smooth, and the team was professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend for anyone needing chimney inspection or repairs!
