To say I am not someone who writes reviews is an understatement - I read them though!! I cannot say enough good about Northfield Fireplace - our fireplace replacement turned into a huge ordeal due to water damage. Northfield was amazing & even found Phoenix Construction to assist with removing our chimney and rebuilding a dog house. We are beyond thrilled with our fireplace and with John Rada & Jacob from Northfield & Sal & his crew from Phoenix Construction - if I could give them more than 5 stars I would!!
This shop installed a gas stove in our house in 2005. They performed maintenance annually ever since. They are extremely professional and punctual, their work was always impeccable and clean. We couldn't recommend them more warmly!
Dean and Kevin did a great job cleaning and inspecting our wood burning fireplace. They were thorough, neat and ensured everything was cleaned up well when they were finished. They took the time to explain everything, offer tips and answered all my questions. Nice Job! would recommend! Thank you!
Northfield Fireplace & Grills is a very nice store with a beautiful, well-organized showroom. However, we were disappointed with their lack of interest in helping us. We visited in person to ask for help replacing the glass on our Buck Stove fireplace and were told to call back later for someone who could assist. Despite multiple attempts to follow up, we never heard back and were always sent to voicemail. Ultimately, we had to reach out to Buck Stove directly in North Carolina, who connected us with a dealer in Virginia that resolved the issue with no problem at all, and was willing to mail the glass directly to us. It’s unfortunate that such a nice store wasn’t willing to help with a straightforward issue, which makes us hesitant to trust them with a larger purchase in the future. We’ll likely look for another fireplace store that is more attentive to their customers’ needs.
Our beautiful fireplace is now finished and we are fully enjoying it. We want to give a shout out to the Northfield Fireplace Shoppe and all the people who did excellent work. John Rada, in sales and ordering, provided us with a lot of helpful information as we made our decisions. Bonnie, at the office, helped us with questions & scheduling. Then John Bailey and Rob replaced our shabby old red brick work with clean eye-catching white brick with their excellent mason work. Tim and Craig added our gas line and logs in a safe and totally neat way. And Joe did a wonderful job of installing the fireplace doors. Everyone we worked with was very pleasant and we totally recommend them.
