Great job with repairing my Man Cave gas insert ! Aiden was very knowledgeable! They assessed the problem got the parts needed and even cleaned and painted the inside firebox, cleaned and vacuumed inside and even cleaned up the decorative stone. I was not home at the time. My husband said they did a very thorough job and the wood stove looks immaculate I believe the fella was Jordan.. Nice to have peace of mind that it's all situated. I am in the Lithonia Ga area, They have the worst business practices. I had to offer tech covers for his shoes, he didn't have his own. He just walked on carpet without asking me, I had to stop him. His cologne was very strong, glad I did not have allergy issues. back story, I had used Mr Chimney the previous year 2024 for a deep cleaning & small repair, they told me back then I would only need a level 1 cleaning 2025 year, so when tech came out & told me I need a deep clean & repairs again it was a red flag, He seemed nervous as he quoted me around $425 for cleaning and $250 for repair of a hair line crack, price was another red flag I paid nowhere near that in 2024, when I objected he offered to do it for half price. I said no and just paid the inspection fee. My receipt said sweep, when I only had the inspection. I called customer care to report my experience, and her response was to attempt to justify the tech. I called a different company out the next day, they cleared my fireplace as NOT needing any repairs & Not even needing a cleaning. It is so sad how Mr. Chimney tech tried to take advantage. He should be terminated. I am glad I went with my instinct to decline Mr Chimney. It caused me $200 in the end having to get two different quotes, but I did save myself unnecessary overpriced charges, (around $700) for work that was not needed. This type of practice should be criminal. They don't even deserve the 1 rating.
I will definitely use them again. The ease of booking an appointment online meant I can choose a time that worked with my schedule. Jordan our technician was professional, neat, and courteous. He worked efficiently and was very neat. Definitely recommend them to anyone needing a chimney service.
Jordan was awesome. Extremely friendly, professional and honest. My honey turned out to be in really bad shape, he spent a long time explaining the problem so I fully understood what I was looking at as well as some places to check for assistance with the cost to repair it. He was kind and very honest. A+ service.
