Had our Jotul stove go out. Called late evening and left a message on their machine. Promptly received a call back the following morning. They were able to send Justin out same day to look at it. He got the unit up and running asap. Super friendly and knowledgable. Through in his work, clean, and honest. Would definitely recommend. Thank You Justin and the Morrill & Forbes team!
Morrill & Forbes has performed work for us for many years with several of our properties and our experience with them has always been excellent and always punctual with appointment times. They are very personable, including the owners, who are very much hands on with their company. I believe that their hands on approach is what makes them unique in the most positive way. They put heart into their company and it shows through their employees' excellence and very thorough, detailed work. We see with our first hand experience that the owners hold honesty, integrity and excellence as the heart in how they conduct their business. Our most recent experience is with Helen, owner, Deanna in the office and Marco and Justin, technicians. They are a prime example of excellence, class, honesty and integrity and all are so pleasant and personable. They have absolutely nothing to hide. They are very open and detailed in their explanation of the work being performed and even provide photos for reference. With regards to their pricing, they are worth every penny. They are not the least expensive, but they certainly are not the most expensive, especially given the highest quality of work that they provide and the fact that they never waver from their values of honesty and integrity. Honesty and integrity is not something that anyone can ever purchase. They offer several options to select from according to our budget / what needs to be done and they do not pressure us. Morrill & Forbes were able to come out next day and install new chimney caps in a matter of minutes. They stood out as a vendor that was easy to work with and very communicative during a particularly tough project. Will be our first choice moving forward!
Now that our vacation home is now our full time residence we called Morrill & Forbes Chimney to inspect our fireplace and chimney. Justin arrived on time with top hat 🎩 on at our door slipping on brand new booties and placing paper around the fireplace before he began work. He had all his tools ready to go and didn’t have the need to go back and forth to his truck. He did a thorough job, checked the gas flow, log display and burner coals then cleaned the glass Inside and out and was extremely neat and tidy. He then explained what he did, what he reported and then offered to go on the roof to check the chimney. Once finished, he returned with booties back on and explained the invoice and the $295 service fee. Justin went over and beyond expectations and the $295 was a small charge for such a fantastically thorough report. Before leaving he got down on the floor and made our scared dog totally comfortable. Justin is an ambassador of this company snd the top hat 🎩 he wore and earned exemplifies his passion and commitment to customer service. Five plus stars. 🌟
We hired Morrel and Forbes to look at our gas logs fireplace insert. The customer service person assured that their techs service Valor fireplaces. I had to call as their worker was late, I understand they provide a service window, but it was already passed the window for the appointment. When they finally arrived the tech proceeded to move the tile backing of the insert causing even more turbulent air flow into fire box. They took a credit card before the visit and wouldn't make an appointment without it. After the worker finished moving around the fire box tiles and not correcting the issue he said he would go to the office and figure out how to completely fix the fireplace. Now it has bee over 3 months and after repeated calls to the Morrel and Forbes and calls to the "owner" no one has called back or offered to help fix our fireplace. This company is good at taking your money and not fixing your problem. They say they can fix it, but all they do is clean your fireplace. Avoid this place at all costs. They are scam artists and that is why they will require a credit card before they come out to service your fireplace. I will never call Morrell and Forbes again, and I will tell everyone I encounter about how poor quality this business offers customers.
