Steve was absolutely amazing! He came in and got right to work, walked me through all the photos, and clearly explained the best options for our fireplace along with any future safety concerns. He was thorough, honest, and never pressured me into anything. I’m so thankful he was the one sent to our home — he was kind, friendly, and extremely informative. We highly recommend Midtown Chimney Sweeps! And if you can, ask for Steve!
By far the most unprofessional experience I’ve had with a company - go elsewhere. We received cleaning services in July, where we were informed that an insert and column would be recommended. We decided to opt in, they came back for a second cleaning in August where we were told we’d receive a quote for install. Called periodically over the summer, nothing. Called most recently in November 25 to see if there were updates, no quotes whatsoever. Called following Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday - left messages with Mike and Alice, no response. Email? Also nothing. Surprised that a company that aims to upsell, refuses business.
SAD EXPERIENCE!!! I received this company's info as a referral from our roofer. Contacted them for an estimate so stove pipe replacement could be coordinated with roofer during roof replacement. They came out to look things over so they could draft an estimate. The "tech" that came out then demanded payment for the quote. $200.00 for an estimate? Not only was this not disclosed prior to them arriving, but $200.00 for an estimate, absurd? After a bunch of back and forth trying to negotiate a fee to be paid for the quote they claimed they would send the estimate via email. Then they disappeared. Multiple follow up calls and text messages. No response. After the 5th or 6th attempt to contact them they claimed, via text message, that they "don't have the bandwidth to complete a quote for me" Completely unprofessional. I am more than glad nothing was paid to them at the time of the estimate appointment. They would likely have just taken the money and disappeared. Steer clear of this very unprofessional business. Sad that our trusted local roofer trusted referring their customers to this business. I have shared my experience with them so they don't get future referrals from our roofer. Complete waste of our time!
Same sentiment as the other recent reviews. I had a word of mouth recommendation for this company, which is how I find most of my contractors, and they are either extremely unprofessional or egregiously mismanaged. Their word means nothing, no call back, no follow-up, and no communication overall. They promised follow up during at least 4 conversions over the past year. I don’t care if they don’t want the job, but just tell the customer so they can move on. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone until they get their act together.
I wouldn't recommend them, they didn't even keep their promised telephone appointment as scheduled and reminded me nearly everyday that the appointment was coming up. When I called and told them they missed the appointment, they said it was the owner who was supposed to call and he NEVER did. Extremely poor, poor, poor business practice if they can't even make a phone call, that cost them NO gas, only their time.
