  I called during the height of busy season and Tom scheduled me in within that same week. He got us taken care of for the winter season and spotted a chimney repair. The repair cost was very reasonable. When we had a question about our damper, he came out again and wouldn’t accept a house call fee that I insisted about. He’s honest and doesn’t suggest extra things that aren’t necessary. He comes when he says he will, and is effectively quick. We’ll be recommending him to people we know and have become repeat clients.

  I had some old ceiling stains around the chimney but discovered a new one (bulge with a slit in the center). Was leaving town and rain was forecasted. Tom, the owner, came out the next day to inspect to make sure it was chimney related and not a roof issue. Since I didn’t want to come home to a caved in ceiling, he was kind enough to check it, found a section that had not been waterproofed, and did all he could do to the chimney related possible issues. He said I should paint the ceiling stains white and watch for any changes. We’ve had a few heavy rains and so far so good, the painted stains are the same🤞🏼👍🏼! I am grateful he worked it in with one day’s notice and for all he did, the cost was extremely reasonable. It was such a peace of mind before heading out of town. He is honest, reliable, reasonable and knows his trade. I highly recommend Maryville Chimney and Vent and Tom, and I can’t sing their praises enough!!

  Excellent work and service! I wanted our closed off chimney swept and then a cap put on since ours rusted off. When he got to our house he was quick to get on the roof and to work. Determined our chimney didn't need swept so he just placed the cap and then put a seal on the chimney to prevent leaks since it is old and cracking. He could have just "cleaned" it and charged me for that, but he was professional and honest. Since it isn't used he said we didn't need to repair the interior but told us that if we decided to, the flum would need repaired. Total cost came out cheaper than his initial quote because he didn't need to clean it. Very honest well worth the call for your chimney services.

  We've known Tom and his family for YEARS, but I'd never hired him before, until we had issues with our cabin's chimney dampers and couldn't seem to get a straight answer from anyone I asked about it. That's what's most impressive about Tom - he'd no sooner arrived than he was up his ladder 20 feet in the air and directly diagnosed my issue in 15 minutes. He gave me several options, including an immediate fix that allowed us to continue to use our fireplace until we could make the permanent changes our chimney needed. Honest and professional all the way.

  I chose Maryville Chimney and Vent to clean and inspect the fireplace in our new home, as the company was highly recommended by a co-worker friend of my husband's. And it was obvious why. Tom is highly professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. He was meticulous as well, leaving not one single speck of dirt behind--and our chimney was pretty disgusting! He willingly suggested the most economical way to seal the cracked brick at the top of the chimney as well. I feel he charged a fair and reasonable price for his services. It is obvious that he is willing to go above and beyond to please his customers, which is a rare attribute in regard to many companies and services these days. I will definitely look no further when it comes to chimney service and repair. I highly recommend this company!
