  Fireplace Freddie is nothing short of amazing. I had two old school fireplaces that were prohibitively expensive to fix. Nick first came out and did an extremely thorough inspection and provided a detailed explanation of the level of work that would be required to bring the fireplace up to prime working condition. Doing that level of repair was not in the budget so he suggested the temporary fix of an electric fireplace. At first I wasn't sure about how they would look, but he showed me pics and I decided to go for it. I was on a tight turnaround time as I needed at least one installed before a holiday party. Patrick and Drake came out to do the installation and they were really knowledgeable. I was not thrilled by the idea of the cord showing and they found a way to run the cord behind the wall to keep it out of sight. On the second fireplace, a protruding pipe made installation tricky and Drake rigged a frame inside the fireplace to bypass the protrusion. They finished the first job in the time required and were both super nice and professional. Jose and Tim came back after the party to complete the second fireplace. They were equally awesome. They worked hard to finish the job in a single day. When the usual metal supplier closed early, they went above and beyond to find a supplier that could provide the metal framing that day . Both fireplaces look AMAZING and has elevated both rooms in my home. The entire staff at this company were extremely professional and reliable in that old school way you don't see often anymore these days. I would not hesitate to use them again and HIGHLY recommend this company.

  We recently purchased a home with a wood burning fireplace that needed long overdue maintenance. We also wanted to convert it to a gas only burning system. We were referred to Fireplace Freddie by our fireplace inspector and we couldn’t be happier with the final outcome. They are thorough, professional, clean & tidy, friendly and knowledgeable.They introduced us to the Rasmussen gas log sets and it is beautiful and user friendly. I highly recommend this 5 star vendor and service.

  Fireplace Freddie confirmed that our1925 wood-burning fireplace needed more than a basic cleaning. During the camera inspection, Nick showed me what the issues were and quoted me a reasonable price to rebuild the firebox, the smoke chamber and the flue. Their workmen came out, sealed the living room with plastic and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. One week later they came out to test the fireplace and made some minor adjustments to correct a backdraft issue. We can burn wood again (AQMD permitting)! Attached are the photos of the rebuilt flue and fireplace. I highly recommend this company.

  We hired Fireplace Freddie to inspect and fix our 100-year-old fireplace & chimney, making it safe to burn real wood again. Nick and Scott came out quickly, and used cameras to inspect. During the inspection Nick visually showed me what the issues were. He also verbally suggested the fix. After the inspection, we received pics and a price quote to fix the issues by installing a stainless steel sleeve in the chimney. We sent the pics and info to 3 other businesses to compare prices. After speaking with Nick numerous times, including 2 conversations with my old school contractor buddy who asked Nick just about every ridiculous question he could possibly think of, Nick remained cool and answered all of his questions. Nick also agreed to do the job with a permit from LADBS which they included in the price, so we decided Fireplace Freddie was the right company to do the job. Patrick was our installer. He had a co-worker, but I didn't catch his name. They showed up on time, covered the floor and furniture and did their job. It took a few days as they said it would, but they were on time, clean and friendly. Each day they came, they covered everything. Each night, they cleaned up and uncovered everything before they left. Patrick also dealt with our LADBS inspector who admittedly was not well versed in chimney repair. Patrick was very friendly, gave the inspector the information he needed including printed specs from the manufacturer, and we passed inspection w/o issue. Scott came back 1 week later to test the fireplace. He lit a fire to make sure it was all good, and it is. To sum it all up, everyone was friendly and professional. The job went super smooth, and we are able to use our wood burning fireplace again, safely. I would highly recommend Fireplace Freddie. A+

  I'm super happy with the Fireplace Freddie team - my job just finished up. We have an early 1900's house with a very tall chimney and complicated repairs that were done really well! Nick helped me scope out the details of the project, their paperwork was detailed in outlining the specifics of what they were going to do and Nick promptly arranged the team to get it done. Edward & Diego just finished up the great work and they were amazing!! They exceeded my expectations !! They were certainly GREAT at the work, AND fantastic customer service!! I asked lots of questions to understand what was all very foreign to me - Edward was super patient and kind in explaining everything and sketched out what he was doing. They were super careful in our home and cleaned up really thoroughly!! Edward expressed his interest in problem solving our unique situation which helped me feel his full engagement in our job. If I still had people working for me, he would be top of the list! Jordan, the project leader, was super responsive and cooperative to work with. Cheryl and Shannon from the office were always up beat with a can do attitude ! I trust their team!
