This was our first time using Ethan's Chimney Sweep, and we were really impressed. Curtis did an excellent job cleaning out our fireplace and took care of a thick layer of creosote that had been building up in the smoke chamber. We feel much safer now knowing the job was done right. We’ll definitely call again when it’s time to have our smoke chamber reparged or if the chimney cap needs any repairs. punctual, affordable, professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough! from the moment frank arrived at my place in la mesa to check out my chimney, i felt confident i was in good hands. he showed up right on time, carefully inspected everything, and gave me a clear explanation about what needed fixing. he also provided an estimate right there during our appointment, and explained he was being a bit cautious with the price just in case there were extra things to handle—he wanted to make sure there would be no surprises later. frank stayed in touch and was quick to answer any questions between the inspection and when carter and jerome came by to do the actual chimney sweeping and repairs. carter and jerome were scheduled to arrive between 9 and 10 in the morning, and they actually showed up at 8:58! they were really friendly, patient with all my questions, super clean, and clearly knew a lot about chimneys and fireplaces. turns out carter has been doing this for over a decade and you can really tell he’s a pro. after two days of hard work, carter, jerome, and another team member finished everything up. they walked me through all the repairs and explained exactly what they had done. the best part? the final price ended up being way under the original estimate—almost 40% less! they were so careful and detailed that they were able to repair some parts instead of replacing them, which saved me a lot of money. i’m really happy with the whole experience and have already told my family and neighbors in la mesa about this chimney sweep company. if i ever need more chimney or fireplace work, i’ll definitely call them again!
