Terrible experience with these guys. We needed to get a chimney capped and were calling around for quotes. These guys just SHOWED UP, without us signing anything or even saying we wanted to get the work done. Charged $2,300 for the job and then capped THE WRONG CHIMNEY. Refused to reimburse me, refused to send any documentation of contracts signed (because there wasn't any). I would avoid them at all costs. If I felt like going through the hassle of a lawsuit I would have done it but rather just wash my hands of the company.
Chimney services aren't exactly on top of everyone's mind, but when you need them, ideally they're from a company offering a quality service at a reasonable price. That's Cougots. Their team (Darren and Al came out to our house) was timely, thorough, and documented everything in terms I could understand. All pricing was up front and explained in great detail. We'll definitely have them back for future cleaning, inspection, and repairs.
Please be advised that this business does not share pricing upfront. They show up to your house and drop a $150 charge that they don’t explain to you when they’re making the appointment. Buyer beware I do not trust these people
I am so happy I went with Cougot's for the chimney repair work I needed. I couldn't be more impressed with their impeccable customer service. My repair work had some unexpected surprises they discovered while on the job, and they went above and beyond to find solutions on my behalf. I highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of their services. Both Cory and Ryland were incredibly kind, went out of their way to help me and make sure the job was perfectly completed, and I just can't thank them enough. Kudos, Cougot's, for such spectacular customer service. I appreciate you all!
Josh and Steven were super friendly, professional & thorough during inspection of two chimneys and removal of an absolute monster of a wood stove from our basement. Estimate for repairs on one chimney was well explained and reasonable, and there was absolutely zero pressure or scare tactics to try to get me to sign up. Two thumbs up plus the five stars.
