I was recently made aware of a possible obstruction in my exterior exhaust flue on the roof. I called several businesses, but I couldn’t find anyone who was able to get on the roof to diagnose the issue. One company suggested reaching out to a chimney service, and after doing some research, my first call was to CinderBox Chimney Services. From the start, Shane and Morrow were fantastic with scheduling and communication. On the day of my appointment, Seth arrived and quickly identified and resolved the problem. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I truly appreciated his outstanding service. Should the need arise again, I will absolutely call CinderBox Chimney Services. These guys are incredible, and the only chimney company I'll ever use again. Went with a budget chimney sweep last year because I assumed the chimney cleaning process is commoditized. However, the low-cost cleaner reported thousands of dollars worth of repairs needed, including grossly embellishing how much creosote was in the chimney. I called several chimney companies asking for an "order of magnitude" estimate to remove the creosote, but NONE would give me a range, and average cost, etc. without me paying their $300 inspection fee. Shane at CinderBox was happy to share the typical range for that service and offered to provide a much lower cost camera inspection to verify the work was actually necessary. Mike from CinderBox arrived on time, performed the inspection, and to my delight said we did NOT have significant creosote build-up that warranted the special "level 3" creosote removal service. Mike was super friendly, and you could tell he wasn't the kind of guy who was going to try to talk you into something you don't need. I'm not surprised these guys have a 5.0 rating on Google. Given their integrity and straightforwardness, there's truly no reason to choose any other company for your chimney needs! We are selling our house and we were told years ago we should not use our fireplace due to some issues. We were never shown pictures by the other company and they did not do a full level 2 inspection. Seth and Hunter did a full level two inspection and found only minor issues that can easily be repaired before we sell or disclosed to the new home owners. I feel so much better knowing we do not have major issues and whoever buys the house will be safe. I HIGHLY recommend CinderBox and will be using them in my new home!
