We had Casey’s come out and look at our chimney this past spring ( Around the first or second week of April 2005.) Specifically a water leak during rain/storms. Casey's told us at the time of the visit and service that they couldn’t be 100% sure if the leak they sealed would be the only leak or the actual leak we were seeing. They also told me to keep an eye out for leaks during storms and to call them if we saw any. Several months and many storms later we have not seen any signs of water leaking during storms. We found the owner, his crew and the receptionist who we talked to on the phone be very knowledgable, professional and honest. They also performed a cleaning while doing the other work and were very conscious of trying to keep the dust and dirt to a minimum while performing the cleaning. On top of that, we feel the prices were very reasonable for the amount of time they spent doing the work. They did not try to up sell us with a bunch of un-needed work. A real old world, real local business!! Thank You Casey's Chimney!!
These people are not trustworthy. I called to ask about getting a price for a new chimney cap. She says there's no charge for a quote, so I scheduled the appointment. The day before, she calls to remind me. I said I just want to verify there's no charge for this quote, correct? She said there's $150 charge for an "inspection." I told her I didn't ask for an inspection I just want a quote on a chimney cap. Unbelievable. Needless to say, NO contractor steps foot on my soil unless they verify IN WRITING there's no charge for an estimate. End of story. .
Casey Chimney has done great work on our chimney. Their cleanings are quick and tidy. They never leave a mess. At our last cleaning they recommended some preventative maintenance and I couldn’t believe how fair the price was to do it. We also have a very rare brick and Mr. Casey went way out of his way to assist us in locating it. I couldn’t recommend Casey Chimney more. They’re great. R. Cooney
I highly recommend Casey’s chimney. They are extremely knowledgeable and thorough and do great work!
I had an inspection from another chimney sweep and they indicated that I needed a new liner and quoted a pretty hefty price. I had Casey's come in as a second opinion and Stephen, the chimney technician, was very professional. He seemed more thorough on his inspection and took the time to explain what was going on with the liner (I'm a first-time homeowner so that was appreciated). The quoted price was also more competitive so I had Casey's do the work. My furnace chimney was strangely constructed (yay 1920's structural codes!) so there was a LOT more work needed to install the liner vs. a normal job. Despite that, Casey's held to their estimate, finished the job, and the owner even came out to inspect the final product. Wholeheartedly recommend. TL:DR: Professional and competitive quote. When the project got tough, Casey's buckled down and completed the job while holding to the quote. Kept the house/workspace tidy every night. Valerie, the office manager, was also responsive. Thumbs up all around.
