Highly recommend, local and family owned business, referred by another local contractor. George himself came out to look at the job, had an estimate within hours of his visit, job completed within 10 days. Reasonable, professional, courteous and clean. George is just a down home honest kinda a guy you want for chimney work.
Couldn't be happier with their service. The cost was reasonable and the work got done quickly. My Husband & I are very happy with the installation of our hot water boiler chimney. The old one was rotted out badly. He also fixed a crack in our brick chimney. George is very professional. We are very happy with his work. We recommend his company!!!
George watched the weather reports and kept in touch by email prior to work date. He arrived on time, completely removed old mortar crown and old mortar on brick edge. He used a tarp to keep mortar residue off of shingles. He used concrete instead of mortar in new crown. He used a plastic tarp to cover the crown to let concrete cure. This repair will probably last 30 years. Good professional work and I highly recommend George.
I’d give 10 stars if I could. I originally called 2 other companies. One was another local company who cancelled on me at the time they were supposed to arrive at my house. The other was from further north and they quoted me multiple prices from $5,000-$15,000. Mr. Bowen came out, on time, sent photos and told me exactly what needed to be fixed. His price was a fraction of what the other company wanted. He scheduled us, came back out to fix the issue and sent photos showing the completed work plus the invoice by email. Weeks later I still had a leak. I sent videos. He came out the same day, in the rain, to check his work. He took videos showing it was not the chimney/ his work it was a roof issue. Although my husband was home and he talked to him he took time to call me at work to let me know what the issue was. I’ve had a hard time finding honest, reliable people in Fredericksburg. Mr. Bowen was all that and more. I highly recommend him for all your chimney issues.
George has taken care of us for the past 10 years!! He does it all!! The amount of soot that comes out is truly amazing each year! I feel so much better knowing the next burning season that I am 100% ready to go! He also was able to spot a problem while on our roof, checking out the chimney, that saved us big time! Not at all near the chimney, he spotted some shingles that were not seated properly, when we went inside the house near the spot we saw a very small wet spot in our ceiling in our bathroom! He made a great recommendation that took great care of us.. If you are in search of something for inside your house or outside for your chimney.... Bowen's is the only person I would recommend!!
