I contracted with Blackburn Chimney to do complete stainless steel relining a year ago on 37 year old cracked ceramic chimney that was a fire hazard! Great overall experience from scheduling to the completion of the job. Trevor and his assistant came out this morning for the annual inspection and cleaning of our woodstove. They came on time, did a great job and in the end cleaned up everything. Trevor explained in detail all the points of the inspection and answered all my questions. I’m very happy with the quality of Blackburns’s work and the thoroughness of their inspection. Ralph showed up right on time for my appointment (super nice guy btw), performed the cleaning and inspection, made zero mess, and provided me a detailed report immediately after. The inspection report found a serious issue that my general contractor should have caught when I had my home remodeled 2 years earlier. It’s been repaired at their cost. That report prevented a potential fire and saved me $thousands! I’m so glad I decided to have my Chimney inspected and that I chose Blackburns.
After 2 days of no heat and our new furnace company unable to fix the situation, Blackburns was able to send someone out same day and take care of the situation for us ASAP! They provided pictures of everything they found to help with decisions and no pressure either way. I appreciated their thoughtful crew that even FaceTimed with me from the roof to confirm I was okay with the size of the cap they installed.
