  We hired this contractor to do a cleaning on one of my customers homes. They said it was done. Sent me an invoice. Customer went to light a fire and the stove wouldn’t breathe. We got someone else to have a look and this is what we found after it was cleaned by a different contractor.

  Brent provides excellent and knowledgeable chimney service. Efficient, quick, and reliable. Even goes the extra mile in giving maintenance pointers to help our pellet stove run efficiently and pointed out chimney repair needs. Well done! We highly recommend.

  We were greeted by Brent, who was upset because g p s sent him to our lower driveway, which was a hay field. After a brief lecture to my husband, I tried to explain to him that is exactly why I sent an email to the owner, Bryan to let him know specifically how to find our home. Unfortunately, the communication/information was not transferred internally. I went so far as to show him the email correspondence between me and his company owner.... I tried to explain that we have no control over how g p s has dropped the pin for our property.That is why I always try to explain exactly where we're located. He escalated and yelled (I was on the phone with the company's answering service (at his prompting, he wanted me to complain so his boss will listen to the lack communication issues internally) at the same time.... she heard it all) BUT we were able to deescalate him and get the job finished. As far as work performance goes, he was very fast and definitely knows what he's doing. He did a great job cleaning and inspecting and teaching us about the stove, but those soft skills really need some fine tuning. I still can't get over what just happened.... 🫣

  I called to schedule with AFCS after my former service provider wanted to charge me $400 for a chimney sweep. I was very pleased at the price I was quoted which was more than half of my former provider. The technician showed up, he was wonderful, full of knowledge, gave me great advice and informed me that my chimney only needs to be done every other year or every third year. I was definitely never educated about my chimney from my former provider. AFCS has earned a client for life. I also rallied my neighbors to use them so the next time we use them, there will be a group of us. I highly recommend them.

  Brent was great! Taught us things about a wood stove that we had not been told by other chimney sweeps in the 30+ years we have owned our stove. We appreciate his candor and willingness to teach us. We will definitely become a regular client.
