Our fireplace chimney was showing signs of water penetration and needed the cap replaced. A second chimney, previously used for an older 1950s oil furnace, also needed repointing. I contacted Tyler at the end of April this year. He immediately got back to me and arranged to meet the following day. While there, I also asked him to look at some cracks we have on other brickwork and issues with foundation blocks on a separate building. As others said, Tyler was very professional. He clearly has a strong history and knowledge of his craft. He listened well, gave good suggestions, and gave a well written estimate later that same day. The estimate included his planned start date. Once agreed, he arrived as scheduled and worked diligently each day, through 90+ degree heat and Pittsburgh June humidity! He completed all the work in less than a week. Results look great. Exactly as discussed.
We worked with Tyler from 412 Brick Squad, and the experience was great! In comparison to the other companies we got quotes from, theirs was the most reasonable and Tyler did a fantastic job repointing one of the walls of our house. Tyler was also prompt, communicative, polite, and professional throughout the whole experience, and I'd highly recommend him as a mason! Not critiques but things to know: cash/check only, and they like to work early mornings (starting work around 7 am). They got the job done very quickly, though!
They say if you want a job done right, you need to hire the right person. This is the guy you want. He was here exactly when he said he would be. What he said would be done that day was done that day. When he said the job would be done is when the job was completed. The work looks perfect to me. I have hired a lot of people to work on my property and this is the only guy that I didn't have to go back and complete and fix things. I highly recommend 412 Brick Squad Masonry!!!!
Tyler was wonderful to work with and the finished product was beautiful. He was very quick to get me a reasonable quote and schedule date. I never got to see Tyler in person but that did not matter, he is hands down the best contractor I have work with. I will absolutely use Tyler again. Thank you so much absolutely wonderful job.
